Those were the final years of the last millennium and the first years of my career. Computers and internet were not easily accessible yet. While struggling, I (after great difficulties though) found "exploded view drawings" of some machines (FK Pumps, Auma Actuators, VRMs, Hydraulics etc) on net and they changed my life.  Suddenly, it became so easy. Today, more detail & tutorials are available for each & everything and in much advanced manners (videos & interactive animation & stimulation programs etc). Now everyone has access to the internet, much faster than it had been then.  <<< MY HUMBLE ADVICE TO THE FRESHERS >>>  You are a smart fellow. You have a smartphone (and most probably a laptop too) with internet. A: Use the above things. B: Do homework before interview.  C: Perform BGC* from your end too. You will have a greater chance of success if you make the interviewer believe that his 6 months would be saved ...

The headline may give you a shock but read further... If you ask any person above the age of 45, they will agree. Before 25-30 years, there was no such qualification like MBA in India. It appeared overnight and presented as magic word.  6-digit starting salary (at that time, can you believe it??) And then MBA-rush started. So many colleges suddenly appeared.  People stopped doing BA / BCom / BSc and started doing BBAs and than MBAs. Even some who have done OR doing those courses, would not come to job-market and  would spend 2-3 more years for doing MBA. The same thing has been done in Engineering too. Jobs are there.  But now the people are over-qualified.  At least, they think they are.

You buy a mobile phone. It doesn't work. What will you do? You have bought a car. It's not giving mileage. What will you do? You have paid for a service. It didn't work well. What will you do? ------------------------- Irritated? Angry? What the hell you are asking? Right?? Many young people have spent money (of their parents) and years for completing colleges and getting degrees. For what? A certificate only? No. To get a job. To start the career and the professional life. But it's not happening. They are not getting jobs.  So what they should do?  Should they blame government? Most persons do this. Should they blame placement agencies? A lot of people are doing this. Should they blame job-portals? Many people do this. Should they blame their LinkedIn connects? Some people do this. Should they blame their parents? Nobody even allow it. Should they blame themselves? Nobody will accept it. Should they blame their colleges? Nobody has even thought about it. My word...
