Some recent calls and job-applications are making me really serious. They also made me think whether I am a out-dated or old-fashioned or both... A fellow called me some minutes before. He was asking for a position of Sr. Engineer (3-3.5 Lacs). He was talking really friendly. When I said him to send me his latest biodata and asked whether he had my email-ID or not, he said "Issi me bhej dijiye" (He was, as I understood, telling me to send my email-ID on the number from which he had called). I simply put off his call. As an admin of a Job-portal, we receive hundreds of CVs daily and dozens of application. We can adjust with the quality of CVs but the cover-letters or messages are hopeless in 95% cases. Most of the time, they just attach their CV and send blank message. Are you searching for a job too? Please don't do such mistakes.

Hello friends, May'2012 was the most interactive month for Jobs@MyCitySurat . In back-end, we have also done some improvements / changes in the format and mechanism. We have observed that many people apply for the same post again and again, of course due to their enthusiasm. But this may create a bad impact and may turn into a loss. Now, we have put a logic which will not forward the repeat application on the same day. :) You don't need to worry at all. What if you want to apply again for the same post? Very simple. Visit Jobs@MyCitySurat next day and apply. Further more, we have put a dynamic limit for maximum application in a day. At present, it is 5. You can send maximum 5 application in a single day. From some days, you must be seeing this new button. It's not like LIKE or DIGG or FOLLOW or something. We are putting it with Buy-calls / Sell-calls / Events / Expressions / Locations and many pages of MyCitySurat.com. If you want more details to be there on some listing, click it. If you find some nonsense on any listing, click it. And then confirm it by hitting OK. Just make sure that you are Signed-in. Your command will pass to the admin and the listing-owner. Wow... Snow in the Summer... Last month, we were surprised to find a new key-phrase in our keyword list... That's "Snow park Surat"... When we checked, we found this link coming on top on google-search page, : MyCitySurat/SnowPark   There are some very basic information about this place "Snow Park of Surat" there. We have also found some Youtube video link there: Youtube/SuratSnowPark But we need more information on it. DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE INFORMATION ABOUT IT? Dear friends, We know, we get suggestions from Facebook about friends' friend and whatsoever. Are we really conscious about it ? Are you adding friends only after confirming them ? If not, you might be showing your Cell Numbers and many private details to many others which you may not be knowing. *EVERYONE'S PHONE NUMBERS ARE NOW ON FACEBOOK!!! ---> Cell Numbers too! Check it now on your Facebook account... ---> Go to top right of your screen, click Account then Edit Friends. Go to left side of your screen, click Phonebook. Everyone's phone numbers are now published in a single list. Wow. And that too with your profile picture (mostly a cute & smiling face which may be yours). What should you do if you don't want to show your number ??? Click on Account then privacy settings & checked "Only Me" on the different stuff, you don't want to share.
