HR में काम करते हुए सबसे मुश्किल चीज़ क्या लगती है? किसी ऐसे candidate को "No" कहना, जो सच में interested होता है। हाल ही में मैं एक role के लिए interviews coordinate कर रही थी। दो candidates थे – दोनों ही qualified। लेकिन एक चीज़ जो एक candidate को खास बना रही थी - वो थी उसकी enthusiasm। वो candidate हर step पे follow-up करता, insightful सवाल पूछता, और clearly दिखता था कि वो team का हिस्सा बनना चाहता है। दूसरा candidate थोड़ा ठंडा था - ना ज्यादा interest, ना timely responses। मैंने दोनों के interviews schedule किए। पर management ने उस candidate को select कर लिया, जो कम interested था - और उस genuinely excited candidate को reject कर दिया। जब मुझे rejection mail भेजना पड़ा, दिल टूट गया। और हुआ क्या? Selected candidate ने बाद में offer reject कर दिया। . . . ऐसे moments remind कराते हैं - ✅ Enthusiasm matter करता है। ✅ Genuine interest count करता है। लेकिन कभी-कभी hiring decisions उसमें fit नहीं बैठते। जो भी candidates को कभी "No" सुना पड़ा है, despite giving your best ...

 भर्ती करने वाले हमेशा कंपनी का नाम शुरू में क्यों नहीं बताते - और ये कोई चालबाज़ी नहीं है, ये है भरोसे की बात। अगर आपने कभी किसी Recruiter के साथ काम किया है और ये सोचकर निराश हुए हैं कि उन्होंने तुरंत कंपनी का नाम क्यों नहीं बताया - तो आप अकेले नहीं हैं। लेकिन ज़रा एक बार उस पक्ष से भी सोचिए, जो उम्मीदवार अक्सर नहीं देखते। सच्चाई ये है: कुछ Candidates ऐसे होते हैं जो कंपनी का नाम सुनते ही सीधे उस Recruiter को बायपास कर देते हैं। हो सकता है उन्हें पहले से किसी कंपनी में जान-पहचान हो। या वो अपने किसी दोस्त (जो खुद एक Recruiter हो) को कह दें कि “तू ट्राय कर, मुझे पहले घुसा दे।” या फिर वो ये सोचते हैं कि डायरेक्ट अप्लाई करना बेहतर होगा। और यही कारण है कि अनुभवी Recruiters ज़रा सतर्क रहते हैं। मैं खुद कई सालों से ये काम कर रहा हूँ। हाल ही में मैंने ज़्यादा ट्रांसपेरेंट होने की कोशिश की है - कंपनी का नाम upfront बता दिया ताकि सामने वाला सोचे कि मैं सब कुछ ईमानदारी से बता रहा हूँ। मैं चाहता हूँ कि Candidate समझे कि मैं कोई जॉब बोर्ड से कोई भी रोल उठा कर नहीं भेज रहा, बल्कि Hiring Manage...
